Eric Nguyen started with Douglass + Liebig as a tax intern in January of 2020. He transferred from Fresno City College to Sacramento State in the spring of 2019, where he is in his senior year and has three more semesters to graduation. While taking a full course-loan and working as an intern, he also maintains an active role as Vice President of Professional Relations in the CSUS Accounting Society. Eric has many responsibilities as his role of VP of Professional Relations, including planning major events and developing good relationships with other professionals.
Eric began his adventure in tax when he worked as a part-time tax preparer at a franchise in 2017 and realized he wanted to pursue accounting. He’s enjoying learning more through his internship and gaining a deeper knowledge of tax and accounting through working with the professionals at Douglass + Liebig. He is honing his skills of being detail-orientated and learning the standards he wants to strive towards in the field. His goals consist of passing the CPA exam within one year from starting the exam, while continuing to expand his accounting and tax knowledge in his career. In the meantime he likes going to school, participating in the Accounting Society, working with the welcoming staff at Douglass + Liebig, and spending time with friends and family.
